Keystone Precision Solutions is sending a team to present 3 topics at the 2025 Summer Quarterly.

• Fixed wing and rotary UAS Demonstration and UAS processing software.
• Laser scanning demonstration using terrestrial scanner and SLAM scanner.
• Hardware and Software demonstration for GIS.

Kenneth J. Fronheiser, PLS is a professional licensed land surveyor in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania with over 17 years of land surveying experience. During that time, Ken has been responsible for a wide variety of surveying projects including Topographical, Boundary, Construction Layout, RTK/GPS, GIS mapping, Bathometric, and Laser Scanning. Ken has worked for a variety of clients that span from private, public, educational institutions and government agencies. In July of 2014 Ken joined Keystone Precision Solutions. Since joining KPS, he has been responsible for internal/external education, leading the growing KPS Support Team and working with our customers to integrate the latest in our product offerings.

Ken is a 1999 graduate of the Pennsylvania College of Technology with degrees in Surveying and Civil Engineering. In his spare time, he enjoys being outdoors, coaching baseball and spending time with family.

Rick Johnston, since June of 2022 Rick has been a support specialist at Keystone Precision Solutions. In this role, Mr. Johnston provides technical support as well as training to Keystone Precision Solutions customers. Rick has over 30 years of experience in geospatial data collection specializing in GPS and UAV data collection. During his career Rick has served as the survey coordinator for a wide range of projects. Ranging from small property surveys to managing the GIS data collection on large highway projects. Rick is an FAA licensed UAS pilot and has been using UAVs to collect geospatial data since 2015. Rick is based in the Allentown, PA office of Keystone Precision Solutions. When Rick is not working, he likes to spend time with his family, coaching his son's baseball team, spending time outdoors, and agonizing over the status of the Boston Red Sox.

Jamie Deiana is a Technical UAV Sales Consultant and Trainer. He consults on UAV hardware, software, and workflow design. Jamie is a licensed Part 107 UAV Pilot and Certified UAV Thermographer. He began flying UAVs in 2016 and has been a passion for him since.

Wetland Delineation

The wetland delineation workshop will focus on conducting wetland delineations, in accordance with the Wt-Env 406, Env-Wt 600, and RSA 483-B: XVII (B) as required by the NHDES Wetlands Bureau. The depiction of jurisdictional wetland boundaries, if relevant and applicable, is an important land planning component required on existing conditions plans prepared by Professional Land Surveyors to extrapolate setbacks and buffers and to serve as a basis for constraints associated with proposed projects. Following a brief introduction, the majority of the workshop will take place outdoors with a general field review and discussion on the challenges that may be encountered in the field for wetland professionals and, by extension, survey professionals.

Sergio Bonilla, New Hampshire Certified Wetland Scientist #261, is the Principal Wetland and Wildlife Ecologist of Mission Wetland and Ecological Services, LLC (Mission) out of Portsmouth, NH. Mr. Bonilla studied Environmental Science at SUNY Plattsburgh with a focus on ecology and has been professionally employed for 29 years, in various capacities, in the field of wetland science and delineation. Most significantly, Mr. Bonilla has worked for the last twenty years in New England with jurisdictional wetland science, delineation, and wildlife ecology.

Wetlands Regulatory Q&A

NHLSA members involved in the creation of wetland permit applications, the mapping required, or the design plans needed to seek approval have an opportunity to ask Mr. Lewis tough questions. Eben will be able to field questions related to permitting, the rules and regulations, and what we need to show on our deliverables.

Eben Lewis is the Southeast Region Supervisor of the NHDES Wetlands Bureau. Eben has a bachelor's degree in environmental science concentrating in wetland ecology from the University of Rhode Island. Eben has been with NHDES for 22 years. Eben started as a part-time employee with the Bureau and has progressed through the department and is now a senior reviewer of wetland permit applications.

Lunch will be provided by The Works Café and will include an assortment of deli sandwiches on artisan hearth-baked breads, including all-natural roast turkey, naturally cured ham & VT cheddar cheese, BLT (w/ naturally cured bacon), Albacore tuna salad, vegan hearty hummus, and farmer's veggie & VT cheddar cheese sandwiches.
